5.30 a.m. - standing to right of the lifeboat house I saw a brown Bentley purr up and park, a suited and booted city gent descended, slowly walked to the shore, paused within sight of the sea, made a decision, immediately turned, walked morosely back to the car and drove away without even glancing back...
