A FLEET OF TINY BOATS

A Fleet of Tiny Boats

Dungeness is also a working beach long inhabited by hard grafters making a good living from the sea.

As Doris Tart said " Don't Forget - The beach will always give you a living"

This project joyfully documents 'that which surrounds' - boats, boats and more boats...
The approach/style is reminiscent of popular prewar 'tourist paintings'. These tiny jewel - like paintings are made with intense concentration and a subtlety which imbues each subject with a sense of celebration and 'longing'.

Our Cathlene
