The Mighty Iillustration Friday Night

Well chuffed that I.F.N. chose a topic from my prints..
(Like a gentle, but bruising punch in the arm from one whom you admire)

Visit -
You'll find it covers the bases in multi-media drawing that you didn't need even know needed covering...
Massive 'frickinrespect' to ..Prozacville unt der 'Nadler' - Mama's Chicken Soup for the Soul indeed...

Tiny boat as if designed for (outer) Space - in progress

I'm not needing to rely on wheelhouse structures to create an 'engaging' composition today.
Oddly you can walk by a superdynamic form for years, until you draw it you can't see it..

Tiny boat (narwhal)

I liked the tusk on this old soldier of the beach... So a naive approach to rendering the structure (thinking of scrimshaw)

Fleet - Ahoy - Awkward little bland beggar

Subject.
Working with great concentration... In a 'knowing' touristic painting style that I'm attempting to re-dignify.

This little one won't finish or re-establish itself - looking like the - "touristic style itself!"- another hour or so... put it up high for a little while...

'Fleet' - Project - new paintings

A new Project.... 'Fleet'

Living as I do on a working beach surrounded by people making a good living from the sea. I have begun a project to joyfully document 'that which surrounds me' - boats, boats and more boats - I envisage 30-40 paintings (mostly tiny 12cm x 8cm) with larger exceptions - Ghost Ship (Higher resolution image on selection)

Subject.
In a 'knowing' touristic painting style that I'm attempting to re-dignify.
